Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Idris Elba are teaming up for a new television project, which 50 Cent says will be a game-changer.

The rapper, producer, and media mogul teased the collaboration on Instagram Sept. 16, posting a picture of himself alongside Elba and hinting at big things to come.

“I’m working, we got some heat coming your way, your [TV] will never be the same,” Jackson wrote.

The mogul provided few details about the project, but ended his post with “Green Light Gang.”

This marks the first collaboration between the two stars, though they share mutual connections in the industry.

Elba starred as Russell “Stringer” Bell on HBO’s The Wire from 2002 to 2004, alongside Wood Harris, who later worked with 50 Cent on BMF.

The Wire star Wendell Pierce also had a role on the 50 Cent-produced Power Book III: Raising Kanan in 2023.

50 Cent has built a successful career in television, serving as an executive producer for Starz’s Power franchise and the popular crime drama BMF.

He has also branched out with other networks, signing a deal with Fox TV in February 2023 to develop scripted dramas, live-action comedies, and animated series under his G-Unit Film & Television banner.

In addition to producing, Jackson has expanded his influence in the entertainment industry by opening G-Unit Studios earlier this year.

Located in Shreveport, Louisiana, the production facility aims to revitalize the area as a filming hub, following in the footsteps of Atlanta’s Tyler Perry Studios.

Jackson hopes the studio will boost the local economy and bring more production opportunities back to the region, which was once a prime destination for films like Texas Chainsaw and Battle Los Angeles, according to IMDb.

It’s unclear if this latest project will be filmed at G-Unit Studios.
