The music legend is among five industry icons who will be recognized.
The two-day celebration will also feature Siedah Garrett, Tori Kelly, and BJ The Chicago Kid.
“Out of an abundance of caution he called 911 for help,” a rep for the 90-year-old musician said.
Organizers tried to clear up the confusion, but critics said it was a “little late.”
