Red Table Talk will return with new episodes starting Sept. 7.
The premiere will feature former child star Jennette McCurdy detailing “decades of torment, exploitation and manipulation inflicted by her very own mother,” the Facebook Watch series said in a Wednesday press release.
McCurdy, now 30, became famous in 2007 with the premiere of Nickelodeon’s iCarly. In her new memoir “I’m Glad My Mom Died,” she reveals she was put on a restrictive diet as a child and later fell victim to eating disorders and addiction. The actress, who went on to star in iCarly spinoff Sam and Cat also alleges in the book that a Nickelodeon show “creator” frequently supplied children with alcohol and requested massages on set.
The author and actress will discuss years of “suffering in silence” on Red Table Talk.
