Former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault-Newman says President Donald Trump’s associates were so desperate to keep her quiet, that they offered a $15,000-a-month contract to buy her silence.
Omarosa makes the stunning claim in her new book, Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House, according to The Washington Post.
In an excerpt obtained by The Post, Omarosa says the Trump campaign made the offer, but insisted she sign a nondisclosure agreement as part of the deal.

The NDA barred Omarosa from commenting on Trump or his family; Vice President Pence or his family; or making comments that could damage the president, according to The Post. It also said her new job would be “diversity outreach” for the Trump campaign.
“The NDA attached to the email was as harsh and restrictive as any I’d seen in all my years of television,” Omarosa writes in an excerpt.
Instead, she refused the offer and signed up for Celebrity Big Brother, where she hinted things were bad in the White House, and penned a tell-all book.
In separate excerpts published Friday by The Guardian, Omarosa says she witnessed “truly appalling things” while working in the White House.

She calls Trump a “racist,” who regularly used the “N-word” on the set of The Apprentice.
Citing three unnamed sources, she says a microphone caught Trump using the racial slur “multiple times,” and there are recordings to prove it.
She goes on to claim she personally heard Trump use racial slurs about White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband George Conway, who is half Filipino.
“Would you look at this George Conway article?” she quotes the president as saying. “F–ing FLIP! Disloyal! F–ing goo-goo.”
Flip and goo-goo are slurs used to describe Filipinos.

Omarosa adds that she felt a “growing realization that Donald Trump was indeed a racist, a bigot and a misogynist.”
“My certainty about the N-word tape and his frequent uses of that word were the top of a high mountain of truly appalling things I’d experienced with him, during the last two years in particular,” she writes.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders blasted Omarosa’s book on Friday, saying it’s “riddled with lies.”
“Instead of telling the truth about all the good President Trump and his administration are doing to make America safe and prosperous, this book is riddled with lies and false accusations,” Sanders said in a statement. “It’s sad that a disgruntled former White House employee is trying to profit off these false attacks.”
Omarosa is scheduled to offer more details on the book in an interview on Meet the Press, this Sunday.
Unhinged will be released on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
