O.J. Simpson, who knows a thing or two about prison, is offering Bill Cosby some words of advice.
Simpson said the 81-year-old comedian will need extra protection, and warned that he should be careful.
“I’m sure there will be guys protecting him but they’re gonna have to put him in protective custody because it takes one nut, ya know?” Simpson told TMZ outside a Nevada golf course Wednesday. “The problem is the nature of the crime. Rapists are frowned upon in prison.”

Simpson spent nine years behind bars in Nevada for kidnapping and armed robbery before he was released last year. He offered his take on how prison staff might react to Cosby.
“With his health, and his age and the nature of the crime, there’s not a warden in this country [who] wants the responsibility of having to deal with Bill Cosby,” Simpson explained. “I think they should’ve let him do his time under house arrest.”
A Pennsylvania judge sentenced Cosby to three to 10 years in state prison Tuesday for sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand in 2004. The TV legend was immediately placed in handcuffs and taken away.
He will be permanently housed at SCI Phoenix prison outside Philadelphia, which is described as a new, state-of-the-art facility.
He was “in good spirits last night,” Lisa Durand, spokesperson for SCI Phoenix, told CNN Wednesday.
Cosby was given a uniform, toiletries, towels and state-issued boots, officials said. His first meal in prison was baked meatballs and rice, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy.
