Loni Love is speaking out after a string of reports saying The Real is getting canceled.
The reports surfaced last week saying the syndicated daytime talk show would end after its current 8th season. In response, Love took to Twitter on Sunday to address the rumors.
“It’s been a busy few days but I got a call from the studio,” she wrote. “No official decision has been made about #TheReal …I will be OK but please give grace to the 150 crew members this may affect… we will finish Season 8 and wait for official word.”

The Real launched in 2013, with a test run on Fox Television Stations and moved into national syndication in 2014.
But the show has recently been struggling in the ratings and just fell to a meager .3 rating. In comparison, Nick Cannon was averaging a .4 rating or about 400,000 viewers and was canceled last week after six months on the air.
The Real is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Telepictures Productions and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
Currently co-hosted by Loni Love, Adrienne Houghton, Jeannie Mai Jenkins, and Garcelle Beauvais, the series has seen a number of talent changes over the years. Previous co-hosts included actress Tamera Mowry-Housley, singer and reality star Tamar Braxton, and comedian and actress Amanda Seales.
News of the cancellation comes amid a slew of changes in daytime TV.
In addition to Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury cancelling Nick Cannon on March 10, NBCUniversal just pulled the plug on Jerry Springer’s show Judge Jerry after 3 seasons. As previously reported, Sherri Shepherd will replace Wendy Williams in the fall.
