Liza Koshy had a moment at the Oscars she’ll probably never forget.
The actress was decked out in a red mermaid gown and sky-high stilettos on Sunday, when she lost her footing and fell in front of photographers.
Before the mishap unfolded, photogs complimented Koshy, 27, on her “beautiful smile” and “gorgeous” ensemble.
She took a few steps and one photographer encouraged her to keep posing.
“As you walk, right here, big smile!” the man yelled. Koshy suddenly plummeted to the ground, causing everyone nearby to gasp.

The actress took the mishap in stride and urged the photographers to keep snapping her picture.
“That’s alright! We can get it down there too,” she said while rolling over and striking a pose.
Two people rushed over to help her to her feet and someone yelled, “Shake it off.”
“It was a manhole! Y’all saw that?” Koshy said to laughter.
Another person asked if she was okay, and Koshy kept the one-liners going.
“I’m good! I’ve got my ankles insured, so that’s fine. It’s a write-off,” she quipped.
Koshy gained prominence while working as a correspondent on the MTV music program Total Request Live (2017–2018). She also starred on the YouTube comedy series Liza on Demand (2018–2021).
Her two YouTube channels have more than 23 million subscribers, boosting her profile even more.
Last year she had a role in Peacock’s Good Burger 2 (2023) and is currently co-starring in the Netflix film Players (2024).
The Oscars were held March 10 at the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
