Lil Nas X marked the end of Pride Month 2019 by apparently coming out as gay.
The “Old Town Road” rapper took to Twitter Sunday to share a message with fans. His post included an animated visual for his new single”C7osure,” along with a rainbow emoji featuring gay pride colors.
He captioned the post: “Some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm [f–k with me] no more. but before this month ends i want y’all to listen closely to c7osure.”

The lyrics on the dance track include: “Ain’t no more actin’ man that forecast say I should just let me grow/ No more red light for me, baby, only green, I gotta go/ Pack my past up in the back, oh, let my future take ahold/ This is what I gotta do, can’t be regrettin’ when I’m old.”

Hours later, after fielding questions from confused fans, the 20-year-old performer posted a second tweet that showed the cover art for c7osure, including rainbow colors on buildings.
While the rapper didn’t directly say he is gay, he wrote: “Deadass thought I made it obvious.”

Last Sunday, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus brought the crowd to its feet at the BET Awards when they performed “Old Town Road.”
The single is currently No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
