LeToya Luckett is getting real about her painful exit from Destiny’s Child.

Luckett, who sang in the group from 1993 to 2000, admitted in a promo for VH1’s T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle that the firing “hurt.”

“Management made a decision,” she told her co-star, Toya Wright, in the clip. “There was nothing at the time that I could do about it. Did it hurt? Absolutely. Because we were friends. I went to school with these girls.”

The singer and actress was likely referring to Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, the longtime manager of Destiny’s Child before the group split up in 2006.

Luckett — along with ex-member LaTavia Roberson — were fired from Destiny’s Child due to differences with Knowles.

Both women reportedly wanted their own managers, leading to the dissolution of their relationships with Beyoncé’s dad. The ladies were eventually replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin.

Luckett and Roberson later sued the group over their 2001 hit, “Survivor,” claiming the song was a diss track aimed at them.

“You thought I wouldn’t sell without you, sold 9 million,” reads one lyric.

The case was eventually settled out of court, and these days the 37-year-old entertainer chooses to focus on positive memories.

“Beyoncé and LaTavia [Roberson] had been in the group the longest. Then LaTavia went to school. Met Kelly [Rowland],” she recalled. “And then Beyoncé showed up at my school one day as the new beautiful girl with this new beautiful voice. It was just so cool to experience something like that at such a young age. But that decision was made … we were sisters.”

Luckett, who is expecting her first child, remains close with Beyoncé.

The reality star said Beyoncé gushed over her pregnancy when the two met up in September, sharing: “She went into straight mommy mode.”

Fans can catch up with Luckett when she makes her debut on T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, a VH1 reality series set to premiere on Oct. 22.
