Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach is denying reports claiming he abruptly retired from fashion after being “humiliated” by the actress at a recent fashion show.

“So y’all really think I’m breaking up with Z…. We are forever!” Roach tweeted on Wednesday, March 15.

“She’s my little sister and it’s real love not the fake industry love,” he added in a second tweet.

The tweets came a day after Roach shared in a dramatic Instagram post that he was quitting the industry, writing: “If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out.”

Roach didn’t elaborate on who was behind the “false narratives.”

Still, the announcement prompted social media users to resurface video of Roach and Zendaya at the Louis Vuitton fashion show earlier this month in Paris, with some suggesting an interaction in the clip caused Roach to quit.

The footage shows Roach and Zendaya walking into the fashion show and the Euphoria star takes a seat next to actress Emma Stone in the front row. Roach looks around for another empty chair in the first row as Zendaya motions for him to sit behind her. He seems unconvinced and shakes his head as the video ends.

One person wrote on Twitter, “I truly believe this was the last straw for him.”

Someone else tweeted, “I mean damn I’d be upset too.”

But others defended the actress.

“The fault lies with the staff not directing Law to his correct seat and so making him awkwardly stand in front.”

“There was no problem with him sitting behind Zendaya and it’s clear she was OK with Emma next to her. Stars always sit front row.”

Roach has yet to comment on what’s next after his retirement announcement.
