The announcement of the new series comes two months after Warner Bros. canceled The People’s Court and Judge Mathis.
Days after the cancellation notices, Allen Media Group began prepping a new show with Judge Greg Mathis called Mathis Court With Judge Mathis.
With the addition of Justice for the People With Judge Milian, the company now has nine court shows.
“Judge Marilyn Milian is an outstanding, charismatic, and brilliant television host, and we are extremely confident that our ninth and newest court series with Judge Milian will be very successful for years to come as she joins our outstanding roster of talent,” said Byron Allen, chairman and CEO of Allen Media Group.
Milian joined The People’s Court in 2001, and spent 22 seasons as the show’s host and judge.
The New York City-born and Miami-raised Milian was the first Latina judge to host a English-language, nationally syndicated TV court show. She is a former Florida Circuit Court judge and also served as an assistant state attorney.
Her new show, Justice for the People With Judge Milian, will be distributed by Allen Media Group.
