Janet Jackson surprised the hosts and audience at The View Wednesday while in New York.
The superstar singer said she decided to visit View moderator Whoopi Goldberg, while in the car on her way to the studio to finish her next album.
Goldberg was sitting at the table talking to co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain and Joy Behar when suddenly the hit song “Escapade” started playing and Jackson walked on set.
The singer, dressed in all black with her hair in long braids, said she remembered Goldberg missed her last tour, so she stopped by to personally deliver tickets for her upcoming “Black Diamond Tour.”

A stunned Goldberg hugged Jackson and told the audience how disappointed she was when she came down with a severe case of pneumonia and was unable to attend Jackson’s last concert.
The surprise didn’t end there. A glowing Jackson offered tickets to the other co-hosts and the entire audience because that’s the way love goes.
“If you guys all want to come, I can…” Jackson said before the audience began to scream and cut her off.
The “Black Diamond Tour” kicks off on June 24 in Miami, before continuing across North America through August. The show will feature fan favorites from Jackson’s Rhythm Nation album along with new music.
More global tour dates will be announced soon. Tickets went on sale on February 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day. For details on the tour, click here.
