The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death for Ivana Trump.

The author and businesswoman died in her home in Manhattan from “blunt impact injuries” to her torso due to an accidental fall, the medical examiner’s office told the Associated Press on Friday.

Police are investigating if the 73-year-old fell down the stairs at her multi-story townhouse, where she was found dead on Thursday afternoon after reportedly going into cardiac arrest.

Trump, the ex-wife of former President Donald Trump, was born Ivana Zelnickova in Czechoslovakia.

She was the real estate mogul’s first wife. They had three children together, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump, before divorcing in 1992. Ivana worked in Trump’s business empire as a senior executive.

Her daughter Ivanka posted a tribute on Twitter shortly after her mom’s death.

“Heartbroken by the passing of my mother. Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance,” Ivanka wrote. “I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always.”

After divorcing, Ivana developed her own clothing and jewelry lines. She also wrote several bestselling books, including “For Love Alone” (1992), “Free to Love” (1993) and a self-help book “The Best Is Yet to Come: Coping with Divorce and Enjoying Life Again” (1995).

She was married four times, once before Trump and two times after.

Despite their messy divorce when Trump moved on to Marla Maples, Ivana remained cordial with her ex-husband. She told ABC News they spoke regularly while he was president and she had a “direct number” to the White House.
