With the third season of Euphoria just months away, HBO is offering a glimpse of what to expect.

Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) holds a melting ice cream cone. Nate stands in a kitchen preparing hamburger patties, Maddy (Alexa Demie) strikes a pose in a sheer white blouse, and Jules (Hunter Schafer) is seated in an art studio.

What is season 3 about?
While the first two seasons followed the high school students navigating a world of drugs, sex, and social media, the third season will jump ahead five years.
Creator Sam Levinson offered details about the new season, including the time jump, during a recent HBO Max presentation in London.
“Five years felt like a natural place because if they’d gone to college they’d be out of college at that time,” said Levinson, per Variety. “We basically pick up Rue south of the border in Mexico, in debt to Laurie, trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off.”
Levinson revealed Cassie and Nate get married and are living in the suburbs. Cassie is “very addicted to social media and envious of what appears to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living at this point in time.”
“Jules is in art school, very nervous about having a career as a painter and trying to avoid responsibility at all costs. Maddy is working in Hollywood at a talent agency for a manager… and Lexi is an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone,” Levinson added.
Who is joining the season 3 cast?
A lot of actors are joining the new season. HBO has been rolling out the names of the new cast members in waves. Per HBO, they include Danielle Deadwyler, Bill Bodner, Colleen Camp, Homer Gere, Jessica Blair Herman, Kwame Patterson, Trisha Paytas, Rebecca Pidgeon, Bella Podaras, Cailyn Rice, Madison Thompson, Jack Topalian, Sam Trammell, and Matthew Willig.
In February 2025, the network announced Spanish pop star Rosalía, former NFL player Marshawn Lynch, and veteran actor Kadeem Hardison had all signed on for roles on Season 3. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Asante Blackk, and Anna Van Patten are boarding the drama as well.
Which stars are not returning?
Storm Reid who played Gia announced in 2024 that she would not be returning to the series.
Barbie Ferreira, who portrayed Kat Hernandez, said goodbye following the season 2 finale, and the late Angus Cloud, who played drug dealer Fezco, died of an accidental overdose in 2023.
When does Season 3 premiere?
For now, HBO has not given an exact premiere date. The network is only saying season 3 will debut in April 2026.
Season 2 wrapped in February 2022, but production on a third season was delayed as the main cast filmed other projects and Hollywood’s labor strikes brought production in the industry to a halt.
The HBO series is produced in partnership. Executive producers include Sam Levinson, Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Will Greenfield, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Zendaya, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Ron Leshem, and Daphna Levin.
