In a new A&E documentary series, Don Cornelius is accused of violently assaulting two women and getting away with it due to his celebrity status.
On Monday’s episode of Secrets of Playboy, former “bunny mother” P.J. Masten made the allegations against the late Soul Train creator and host.

Masten claimed Cornelius, a Playboy VIP, was hanging out at a Hollywood club that Playboy bunnies often frequented and invited two young women to his home.
“These two young girls got in his Rolls-Royce, went up to his house and we didn’t hear from them for three days,” Masten said in the episode. “We couldn’t figure out where they were.”
Masten said they didn’t hear anything from the two “baby bunnies,” who were sisters, until three days later when one of them called her to say they had been held at Cornelius’ house.

When Playboy’s head of security went to pick up the two sisters, Masten said he found them “bloodied, battered [and] drugged.”
“They were tied up and bound,” Masten alleged. “It was horrible, horrible.”
According to Masten, the matter was not brought to the police in accordance with Playboy policies and was dealt with internally by the company’s security team.
“The thing that was so outrageous to me, that made me so angry was that no charges were filed and Don Cornelius’ privileges as a number one VIP were never suspended. He was back in the club the following week,” she said.
After Monday’s episode, Cornelius’ son spoke with People magazine and called Masten’s claims “salaciousness” and said they were an “unbelievable story without real proof.”
In 2008, Cornelius was arrested on a separate felony domestic violence charge and eventually placed on 36 months of probation.
Cornelius hosted Soul Train from 1971 to 1993, and was instrumental in bringing the music of artists like Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, and James Brown to mainstream audiences.
In 2012, he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Secrets of Playboy airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on A&E.
