Snoop Dogg and DMX will face off in a Verzuz “battle of the dogs” next week.
The upcoming installment of the popular virtual music battle will feature the two rap stars playing their hits and competing to see who has the best catalog, in a friendly competition of course.
The Verzuz battles, which were launched in March by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz while music fans are at home because of the coronavirus pandemic, involve competitors taking turns playing songs from a list of 20 tracks across their discography on Instagram live. Timbaland and Swizz Beatz later decide on a winner.
Snoop Dogg took to Instagram to share the news about the battle, uploading a photo of himself and DMX Tuesday night, with the caption “Doggs4life.”
Both artists have a slew of songs that they could possibly choose for the battle. Snoop’s hits include “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Gin & Juice,” “I Wanna Rock” and “Beautiful.”
DMX, who has seen his share of personal and professional ups and downs, is making a comeback now. His hits include “Party Up (Up in Here),” “Ruff Ryders Anthem,” “X Gon’ Give It To Ya,” and “What’s My Name?”
