Boris Kodjoe is bringing a little romance to The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.

The Station 19 star will play Erika Alexander’s new love interest in the second season of the NBC comedy, the network announced Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Kodjoe joins the series as Leslie “LP” Pervis, a former college classmate of Monica (Alexander) and Reggie (Tracy Morgan). Back then, LP was a dorky child prodigy. Now, he’s a handsome, jet-setting entrepreneur who has caught Monica’s attention.

The new season premieres Nov. 2, with Morgan returning as former football star Reggie Dinkins and Daniel Radcliffe back as documentarian Arthur Tobin. Both are still chasing redemption and still making a mess of it. With help from his family, Reggie will continue trying to recapture his past glory.

Kodjoe isn’t the only familiar face joining the new season. Saturday Night Live star Jeremy Culhane and NBC sportscaster Mike Tirico also have roles on season 2.

Culhane will play Max, Monica’s new Gen Z assistant. Despite having a master’s degree in marketing, Max has to take what he can get in the current job market. Meanwhile, Monica is eager to put his public relations skills to work helping Reggie stage a comeback. Tirico will appear as himself and sits down for an interview with Reggie.

The comedy follows Reggie’s efforts to repair his reputation after a gambling scandal ended his football career. He hires award-winning filmmaker Arthur to make a documentary that he hopes will help turn things around.

Alexander plays Reggie’s ex-wife and agent, Monica. The returning cast also includes Bobby Moynihan as Reggie’s close friend and former teammate Rusty, Precious Way as Reggie’s fiancée Brina, and Jalyn Hall as Reggie and Monica’s son Carmelo.

NBC renewed the series for a second season in May, as previously reported. According to the network, the show was the No. 1 new comedy of the 2025–26 broadcast season among adults ages 18–49.

Robert Carlock and Sam Means serve as writers and executive producers alongside Morgan, Tina Fey, Eric Gurian and David Miner.

The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, with Little Stranger, Bevel Gears, 3 Arts and Means End Productions.
