Bill Cosby is facing fresh accusations of sexual assault as nine more women have come forward in a new lawsuit.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Nevada on Wednesday (June 14) per the Associated Press, comes less than two months after the state revised its statute of limitations for civil cases involving sexual assault.

The nine women allege the assaults took place between 1979 and 1992 in hotel rooms, homes, and dressing rooms across Las Vegas, Reno, and Lake Tahoe.

The lawsuit also purports that Cosby, now 85, made attempts to drug each of the women before the alleged assaults took place.

One of the plaintiffs, Lise-Lotte Lublin, had previously alleged that the former Cosby Show actor raped her at a Las Vegas hotel in 1989 after serving her a spiked drink.

“For years I have fought for survivors of sexual assault and today is the first time I will be able to fight for myself,” she said in a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “With the new law change, I now have the ability to take my assailant Bill Cosby to court. My journey has just begun, but I am grateful for this opportunity to find justice.”

These allegations add to the series of claims labeling Cosby as a sexual predator, which culminated in his 2018 conviction for sexual assault in Pennsylvania.

The legendary comedian was released from prison in 2021 after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his conviction on a technicality.

Despite his release, the cloud of sexual misconduct allegations continues to loom over the former entertainer. As the legal landscape shifts, Cosby continues to face lawsuits in states where the statutes of limitations for sexual offenses have been recently suspended or changed.

In a case that took place last year, a jury in Los Angeles sided with Judy Huth, who accused Cosby of sexually assaulting her at the Playboy Mansion in 1975 when she was just 16 years old.

Cosby, who was 37 at the time of the alleged assault, was ordered to pay Huth a settlement of $500,000.

Earlier this month, Cosby faced another lawsuit filed by Victoria Valentino, a former Playboy model who alleged that he drugged and sexually assaulted her in 1969 after getting dinner with him and her roommate. According to the lawsuit, the actor offered Valentino and her friend pills to make them “all feel better” before the alleged assault took place.

At present, the disgraced comedian has been accused of sexual assault by over 60 women. Cosby, however, has consistently denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.
