Anita Baker is calling on Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds to call off his “crazyyy” fans.
The “Giving You the Best That I Got” songstress says fans of the “Tender Lover” singer-songwriter have been bullying her on social media and she wants Babyface to intervene.
Baker began to get “Caught Up in the Rapture” after a May 10 stop on her “Songstress Tour” at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Babyface had been scheduled to open the show as a surprise guest on the tour, but that night his set didn’t happen. Babyface took to Twitter to say his performance was scrapped so that headliner Baker could perform because the show started late due to technical issues.
“I am truly sorry to my fans who have been waiting for us to hit the stage this evening at @PruCenter. I was asked not to perform in order to give Ms. Baker her space and time to perform her show in its entirety,” Babyface tweeted. “My band and I are extremely saddened we didn’t get to perform for y’all tonight.”

Baker says she’s been dealing with angry Babyface fans since then.
She posted several tweets on June 9, and vented that Babyface wasn’t sticking up for her.
“When A friend, is being attacked, by Your friends?…because, of Mis-information/fake news And, You have an Opportunity, to Say Something/Correct it? … It’s the Right thing to do,” she wrote, ending with “Reputation, Peace & Safety Matters,” she tweeted.

The conversation heated up when NPR posted Babyface’s Tiny Desk concert online Friday.
Babyface’s fans said he’s a legend and should have equal billing to Baker on the tour. But Baker reminded one Babyface fan that it’s her tour, that’s why she gets top billing.
“Dearest one. You are Not, privy to *The Contracts*. Yes, Babyface is Special Guest/Support Act, on My Tour. This False Narrative, of A Co-headliner is creating Unrealistic Expectations & Aggression, from his fans towards me. He should tell you guys, the Truth,” she tweeted along with a flyer for the concert.

“As you can see… Some of his fans, are Not accepting of the Reality, that he is Contracted, as Special Guest/Support, on My Tour Some even want to hurt me… Crazyyyy. Town,” she tweeted.

Baker followed by up asking Babyface to intervene.
“Kenny’s Crazies are online Bullies. @Babyface Please call off, your fans. I have been Only Kind and Supportive, of You, as the Special Guest/Support, on My Tour,” she tweeted Monday.
In the name of “Sweet Love,” hopefully the two sides can work this out.
