The 2026 BET Awards will bring some of the biggest names in hip hop and R&B to the stage.
BET announced the first wave of performers this week, saying Cardi B, Queen Latifah, and T.I. are all set to perform.
Additional artists taking the stage include Doechii, Jill Scott, Kehlani, Common, Tems, Don Toliver, Rick Ross, The War and Treaty, and French Montana will reunite with Max B for a performance.
“This year’s show brings together an extraordinary mix of legends, superstars, and emerging talent whose influence continues to resonate across generations. From powerful performances to historic tributes, we’re creating the kind of unforgettable moments that define the BET Awards. And we’re only getting started,” Connie Orlando, executive vice president of specials, music programming and music strategy at BET, said in a statement.

The network also announced rising R&B star kwn will perform on the BET Amplified stage, and hip-hop pioneer MC Lyte returns as the show’s announcer.
Heading into the awards, Cardi B leads the nominees with a total of six nods. She is nominated in the categories of Best Collaboration for “Errtime Remix” feat. Jeezy and Latto; Best Female Hip Hop Artist; Video Director of the Year with Patientce Foster; Album of the Year for Am I the Drama?; Fashion Vanguard Award; and Viewers’ Choice for “Outside.”
Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist follow with five nominations each. Doechii, Doja Cat, Clipse, Teyana Taylor, Olivia Dean, and Latto all picked up four nominations.
Lauryn Hill will be awarded the Living Legend Icon Award. Teyana Taylor will receive the Icon of the Year Award, and music executive Sylvia Rhone will pick up the Ultimate Icon Award.
Hosted by Druski, the BET Awards air Sunday, June 28 at 8 PM ET/PT on BET from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
