A woman was arrested after allegedly firing multiple shots at the Los Angeles home of Rihanna and partner A$AP Rocky on Sunday, March 8.
LAPD officers responded to the scene of the shooting just after 1:00 p.m., in the Beverly Crest neighborhood bordering L.A. and Beverly Hills.
The suspect reportedly used an AR-15-style rifle and opened fire from a vehicle.
Urban Hollywood 411 went to the scene of the shooting, which occurred on Heather Road just off of Coldwater Canyon Drive.
The tree-lined neighborhood is known for its narrow streets and multi-million dollar mansions. Drive-by shootings in the area are unheard of.
Police officers blocked off the road leading up to Rihanna’s house with crime scene tape, and spent hours at the location as the investigation got underway.
The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division has taken the lead on the case. Officers at the scene were not authorized to speak with the media, although the LAPD said more information will be released Monday.
A police spokesperson told the Los Angeles Times a 30-year-old woman fired several rounds at the mansion before taking off. She was arrested a short time later.
Citing law enforcement sources, the Times reported a police dispatch call said “at least 10 rounds” were fired.
Local news stations flew drones and helicopters over the mansion, showing what appeared to be bullet holes in a wall surrounding the property.
No one was injured, but Rihanna was said to be home at the time. The Grammy-winning singer and A$AP Rocky are parents to three young children: RZA, Riot Rose, and Rocki Irish Mayers.
