Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will go toe-to-toe, again, for a Netflix rematch.
The streaming giant announced details of the boxing match on Monday, Feb. 23, saying it will take place in September at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
Netflix is counting on a massive audience, noting in a press release that the event will stream live globally to its 325 million (and counting) subscribers, at no additional cost to watch.
“Earlier in my career, I spent weeks in Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao’s training camps in Las Vegas and the Philippines… Bringing this rematch to Netflix is a massive ‘full-circle’ moment. We’re thrilled to combine their storied rivalry with the immersive technology of Sphere to deliver a landmark sporting event to our members worldwide,” Gabe Spitzer, vice president of sports at Netflix, said in a statement.
Floyd “Money” Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) and Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs) last fought in 2015, during what was billed as the “fight of the century.”
Their first match generated a record 4.6 million pay-per-view buys and set a world-record live gate of $72 million at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, per Netflix. Mayweather punched above Pacquiao and won by unanimous decision.
“I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will be the same result,” said Mayweather, who turns 49 this week.
Pacquiao, 47, added: “Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history. The fans have waited long enough — they deserve this rematch, and it will be even bigger now that it will be streamed live globally on Netflix… As always, I dedicate this fight to my fellow Filipinos around the world and to bringing glory to the Philippines.”
News of the rematch came just days after Mayweather un-retired through a multi-fight partnership with CSI Sports/FIGHT SPORTS.
Pacquiao came out of retirement last July and returned to the ring, per ESPN.
The rematch is organized and produced by EverWonder Studio, Hidden Empire, and Limitless X Holdings. The event is being promoted by Manny Pacquiao Promotions and Mayweather Promotions in partnership with CSI Sports/FIGHT SPORTS.
Mayweather vs. Pacquiao 2.0 streams live globally Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026 on Netflix. Additional details will be announced in the coming months.
