Muni Long has left The Boy Is Mine Tour because of concerns about her health.
The Grammy-winning “Hrs & Hrs” singer shared the disappointing news with fans in an Instagram post on Saturday, Nov. 29.
“As many of you know, I’ve been battling some health issues throughout The Boy Is Mine Tour,” she began. “Despite doing everything I can to push through, my doctors have made it clear that it’s not safe for me to continue with the remaining dates of the tour.”
The singer-songwriter added, “I’ll truly miss seeing you all out there, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to @brandy and @monicadenise for having me and sharing the stage with me. I can’t wait to see you all again. Stronger than ever.”

Monica replied in the comments section, writing: “We greatly appreciate you @munilong.”
Brandy added in an Instagram Story: “Thank you for touring with us and for being such an Inspiration of strength. We truly appreciate you, and it has been an honor to witness your incredible gift. It would be an honor to work with you in the near future! May God bless you and keep you always.”
Muni Long, born Priscilla Renea Hamilton, has been open about her health journey and previously revealed she suffers from lupus and other illnesses.
According to the Lupus Research Alliance, the chronic autoimmune disease causes inflammation and tissue damage, and can affect any part of the body. When someone has the disease, the immune system “produces autoantibodies that mistake the body’s own cells as foreign, causing other immune cells to mistakenly attack healthy tissues”
Long, 37, discussed her battle with the disease during a June interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the BET Awards.
“I deal with very serious health problems, Lupus being one of them… so I don’t think people understand, when I go on that stage, I’m literally putting my life on the line,” she shared.
Mya has previously filled in for Long on The Boy Is Mine Tour, and is rumored to be permanently replacing her.
Headlined by Brandy and Monica, the concert series kicked off on Oct. 16 in Cincinnati. It was initially scheduled for 24 stops, but more dates were added due to excitement from fans.
Kelly Rowland and American Idol season 23 winner Jamal Roberts are also part of the tour.
