Cardi B has a baby on the way.
The rapper confirmed the news during an interview with Gayle King that aired Wednesday, Sept. 1, on CBS Mornings.
“I’m excited, I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong,” Cardi told King.

The “Outside” rapper has been on a media blitz promoting her second studio album, Am I The Drama? — out Sept. 19.
Cardi, 32, even went old school this month, hawking copies of the CD on the streets of New York City.
She told King: “I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.”
Her man is boyfriend is NFL star Stefon Diggs, 31. This is Cardi’s fourth child and her first with the New England Patriots wide receiver.

Fans had been speculating for weeks that Cardi was pregnant, especially during her trial in Alhambra, California, which she won after being sued for $24 million by a female security guard who alleged the rapper assaulted her.
Cardi said in Wednesday’s interview she was waiting for the right moment to go public with the pregnancy news.
“I just was like, ‘Can I just say it on my own time?’ Like, I’m not hiding,” she explained. “On my time, on my own terms. Let me close some deals first, you know what I’m saying? Let me close some deals first.”
She also wanted to make sure the baby is healthy.
“And it’s like, you don’t really want to say right away that you’re pregnant,” she continued. “It’s like, ‘Let me see a couple of more sonograms. Let my baby be healthy.’ ”

The Love & Hip Hop alum was on The Jennifer Hudson Show this past Monday. Hudson asked if she wanted more kids, but not if she was pregnant. Some fans on social media said it was weird not to ask, considering Cardi was wearing a bodycon dress and definitely looked pregnant.
The rapper’s announcement on CBS came just one day after she revealed she’ll be supporting her new album with a 30-date Little Miss Drama tour, kicking off Feb. 11 in Palm Desert, California.
Cardi told King she doesn’t think the tour will be affected by her pregnancy.
“It’s coming before my tour,” she said. “As soon as I give birth, tour rehearsal starts. I don’t come from weak women.”
The Grammy-winning star, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, has been married to Offset since 2017. They separated in 2023, amid cheating rumors.
Cardi told King she hadn’t let her parents know she’s expecting another child. Though she planned to tell them before the interview aired.
“I’m very scared of my parents!” she said jokingly.
Diggs is dad to an 8-year-old daughter. Cardi B shares three children with her estranged husband, rapper Offset — daughter Kulture, 7; son Wave, 4; and daughter Blossom, who turned one this month.
