Starz is getting back into business with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson for the upcoming boxing series Fightland.
In a press release Friday, the network announced it has greenlit the “high-stakes” drama set in the world of underground British boxing.
The series was first announced in 2022 when Starz was owned by Lionsgate, but is just now moving forward at the newly independent network.

The crime drama from executive producer 50 Cent follows a formerly incarcerated champion fighter who returns to London to seek vengeance against the crime family he thinks betrayed him.
“Fightland marks my first internationally produced show through my G-Unit Film & Television. I am excited to bring that global energy to the screen,” 50 Cent said in a statement. “I anticipate this to be more successful than anything I’ve done before—boxing’s raw stakes are gonna take it to another level.”
Among the hip-hop mogul’s other projects at Starz were Power, along with the spinoffs Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force.
G-Unit Film & Television also produced BMF (Black Mafia Family) for Starz and just finished production on season 2 of the Black Mafia Family docuseries.
According to the official description for this latest series, it brings a “gripping story of redemption, betrayal, and brutal ambition in and out of the ring.”
Filming is expected to begin later this year in London.
“Fightland is the kind of unapologetically visceral, premium storytelling that Starz is known for, and we believe that each dramatic round of this compelling drama will leave fans wanting more,” said Kathryn Busby, president of original programming for Starz.
Executive producers include Francis Hopkinson (Wallander and Bancroft) and Kate Leadbetter (Woman in White and Catherine the Great). Damione Macedon (Power and BMF) and Raphael Jackson Jr. (Power and BMF) will serve as showrunners, executive producers and writers. Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith executive produce and write.
