Yolanda Adams and Serayah come from different worlds that collide in Kingdom Business, a new eight episode music drama series premiering on BET+ in May.
Adams leads the cast as Denita Jordan, a queen of gospel music, first lady of First Kingdom Church and head of Kingdom Records in Atlanta. She is dedicated to guarding her family, her secrets and her business at all costs, but her record label is failing and needs fresh talent.

Her son, Taj (played by Chaundre A. Hall-Broomfield) finds this new talent in Rbel (Serayah), a young pole dancer whose vocal performance at a funeral has gone viral. Taj thinks that Rbel is exactly what the label could use, but Denita has little interest in this newcomer and her checkered past.
“She’s everything Kingdom needs,” Taj explains to his mother in the trailer. “She can reach people you never could.”
When Denita is still not interested, Taj takes Rbel to rival producer Caesar Jones (Michael Jai White), and a war between the two record companies breaks out. “I don’t care where you come from … only where you’re going,” Caesar assures Rbel. Later, confident in his new talent, Caesar tells Denita: “Your reign is over.”
The cast also includes Michael Beach, along with recurring guest stars include Tamar Braxton as “Sasha”, La’Miya Good as “Essence,” Aspen Kennedy as “Zyan,” Kiandra Richardson as “C.J. Jordan-Walker,” Kajuana Shuford Marie as “Dani” and Sam Malone as “Dex.”
