The second season of The Braxtons debuts in October, with the Braxton family members reuniting to celebrate milestones and a wedding.

Season 2 will find Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and Ms. Evelyn coming together as they continue to heal after losing Traci Braxton to cancer in 2022.

WE tv released new details about the upcoming season this week, including key art, storylines, and a supertease.

The supertease shows Toni Braxton struggling with the news that R&B singer Angie Stone was killed in a car accident on April 1.

“I’m just all tripping about Angie Stone,” Toni says while reading the news.

Later during a performance, she pauses on stage and tells fans: “Sorry guys, I’m getting a little emotional.”

The new season will also follow Towanda as she plans the wedding of her dreams. But amid the excitement, there will be confrontations and a health crisis.

“The family is rocked by medical emergencies, explosive emotional confrontations, and the fallout from a public scandal that threatens to divide them for good,” according to the official description.

WE tv did not give specifics on the medical emergency, although the update on the new season comes less than a month after Tamar shared an emotional post on Instagram saying she was recovering after being hospitalized.

In the Aug. 19 Instagram story, Braxton said she had suffered multiple injuries and “almost died.”

“I was found in a pool of blood,” she said in a statement. “I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins.”

While Tamar asked for prayers, she insisted: “I don’t even know what happened to me.”

After some of her fans, YouTubers and bloggers expressed skepticism, Tamar had her dentist release a video statement saying the reality star had been “sleepwalking” when she was injured.

“Oftentimes in cases of sleepwalking, the person has no memory or recollection of what they’ve done. They can walk, move, even injure themselves… and not remember,” Miami-based cosmetic dentist, Dr. Amira Ogunleye, said in a video Tamar shared on Aug. 28.

Perhaps Dr. Ogunleye and Braxton will clear up some of the confusion on season 2 of The Braxtons.

The new season premieres Friday, Oct. 10 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on We TV and streams on ALLBLK and AMC+.

Tara Long, Ri-Karlo Handy, Oji Singletary and Michelle Kongkasuwan for Blink49 Studios and Datari Turner executive produce The Braxtons alongside Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and Evelyn Braxton.
