The accuser testified she was 14 years old when she was recorded having sex with the singer.
Jury selection began Monday at Chicago’s Dirksen Federal Courthouse.
The singer was sentenced to 30 years in prison last week for sexual abuse.
“Mr. Kelly was placed on suicide watch for purely punitive reasons,” attorney Jennifer Bonjean insists.
The disgraced R&B star learned his fate in a Brooklyn courtroom.
Kelly is set to be sentenced on June 29.
“It was so stomach-churning,” the journalist said.
“I gave someone that control over me to basically make me do whatever it was that they wanted me to do.”
