The White House issued a statement calling on Russia to “improve her treatment.”
“She had some hope but that vanished today,” the WNBA star’s attorney said.
“I’m trying to go this week,” the NBA legend said in a new interview.
The WNBA star was detained in February.
“She went in there loaded up with drugs into a hostile territory where they’re very vigilant about drugs,” Trump said.
“I hope to move us toward a resolution,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.
Griner had a court appearance in Russia on Friday.
“I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even want to go back to America?'” James says.
“I didn’t want to break the law,” Griner said Thursday in court.
