First Look Unveiled of Octavia Spencer Spy Series ‘Ride or Die’

Oscar winner Octavia Spencer will next star in the Prime Video spy series Ride or Die.

The streaming service released first look photos this week for the action comedy, which premieres on July 15.

Emmy-winning Ted Lasso alum Hannah Waddingham co-stars as an international assassin. The action comedy follows best friends Debbie Claybourne (Spencer) and Judith Burton (Waddingham) who thought they knew everything about each other, except Judith turns out to be a killer for hire.

“When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together,” according to the official description.

Bill Nighy, Ed Skrein, Sylvia Hoeks, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, and Jacky Ido also star.

The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios. Tessa Coates is creator and executive produces alongside showrunner Matt Miller and director Peyton Reed. Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, Irene Yeung, Brian Clisham, and Stephanie Kluft are also executive producers.

All eight episodes of Ride or Die begin streaming July 15 on Prime Video.
