Author and spiritual life coach Iyanla Vanzant will return to OWN in January, with a new series titled Iyanla: The Inside Fix.
The show will revisit “twelve of the most unforgettable episodes” of Vanzant’s previous series Iyanla: Fix My Life, and offer “deeper reflections and renewed insights into the healing journeys that moved millions.”
OWN says the new show won’t just be a clip program, but will explore “emotional truths that continue to shape our lives.”
“In a world that needs more light, Iyanla’s voice and presence in this show provides a safe space where viewers can find the guidance, inspiration, and honest reflection needed to spark their own personal healing and growth,” OWN President Tina Perry said in a statement Tuesday.

Added Vanzant, “Iyanla: The Inside Fix is a deepening. Where Fix My Life invited us to confront the pain that shaped us, The Inside Fix invites us to meet the truths that can free us.”
The original series, Fix My Life, premiered in 2012, and helped families and individuals deal with trauma and fractured relationships.
The show featured several celebrities who were dealing with substance abuse issues or family strife, including DMX. The late rapper had an emotional reunion with his adult son Xavier. In the explosive episode, DMX melted down and shouted at Vanzant: “Lady please! What the f–k… stop running your mouth!”
Actress LisaRaye McCoy appeared on the show with her mother Katie McCoy, as they tried to repair their fractured relationship. At one point, Katie became angry and told her daughter, “Some of us is lyin’ … It’s a lot that ain’t being said here.”
Troubled gospel artist Le’Andria Johnson sat down with Vanzant in 2019 to address alcohol abuse. Things did not go well. Johnson, who was wearing an ankle monitor at the time, told Vanzant: “I’m not going to stop drinking. I’m functioning.” The self help guru responded by calling her a “true alcoholic,” and Johnson walked out.
Vanzant decided to walk away herself. She said goodbye to Fix My Life in 2021, because of stress from filming the show.
“The one thing that eight years of Fix My Life has taught me is how mean and nasty and unkind we are. I don’t want that energy in my life anymore,” Vanzant said in an interview at the time. “I don’t want people calling me names and talking about me. I’m just very sensitive to energy.”
Her new show is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions for OWN.
Iyanla: The Inside Fix premieres Saturday, Jan. 17 at 8PM ET/PT on OWN.
