Kid Cudi has released a statement following his harrowing testimony in the sex trafficking trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The rapper and actor, born Scott Mescudi, testified in Manhattan federal court on Thursday, May 22, about his brief romance with Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Cudi, 41, said after Combs found out he was seeing Cassie, someone broke into his house in the Hollywood Hills, the surveillance cameras were tampered with, his dog was locked in a room and left “on edge all the time,” and his car was blown up.

The “Day ‘n’ Nite” rapper’s manager and one of Combs’ associates set up a meeting between the two men and Cassie to discuss the situation.

Cudi testified that Combs told him, “That is my girl.” The Cleveland native said he responded, “I thought you had broken up.”

The star told the court he believed Combs was involved in a break-in at his home and the fire that started in his car. But Diddy’s lawyer countered there was no evidence of the music mogul’s involvement with either incident.

The rapper said he and Cassie quickly ended things after the incident because of “the drama.”

After leaving court, Kid Cudi posted a video statement on the X platform.

“I’ve been seeing all the love and support and I just want to say thank you so much, man,” Cudi said. “People been hitting me up the past week just checking in and even today, it really means a lot to me, man. You guys are the best. I love y’all.”

He added that it has been a relief to move on with his life.

“This is a stressful situation. I’m glad it’s behind me. Yeah, I love y’all,” he said.

Cassie testified for four days last week and said Combs allegedly charged at her with a wine opener at a “freak off” after learning that she had been seeing Kid Cudi.

She said she escaped, but alleged Combs later beat her up.

Combs, 55, Combs faces five charges: one count of racketeering conspiracy; two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to all counts.

The federal indictment includes arson under the racketeering charge. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
