Keke Palmer gets candid about her life, her career, and her regrets in the latest episode of TV One’s Uncensored.
Palmer, 32, sat down for this week’s episode of the network’s popular interview series, and discussed her journey from a child star to an Emmy-winning actress and game show host.
The Nope star also admitted she was embarrassed by her public split from her son’s father, Darius Jackson.
“We haven’t been speaking and I’m at my photo shoot. Everybody on my team starts looking real crazy, and I’m thinking to myself, what’s wrong with y’all?” Palmer said in a preview clip.
Someone at the photo shoot grabbed her phone and clicked on a “salacious” article.
“On one of the blog sites, it’s like my son’s father is online saying a bunch of stuff. And I’m just like — I think I was in shock,” she recalled.

Palmer and Jackson started dating in 2021. While hosting Saturday Night Live in December 2022, the actress revealed she was pregnant. The pair’s son Leodis “Leo” Andrellton Jackson was born in February 2023.
The couple made headlines in July 2023 after Jackson publicly shamed Palmer in a string of tweets for wearing a sheer dress with a thong bodysuit underneath to an Usher concert in Las Vegas.
“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” the fitness trainer tweeted when videos of Usher serenading the actress went viral.
In November 2023, the actress filed for a restraining order against Jackson alleging “physical violence.” The request was granted.
Jackson’s older brother, Insecure actor Sarunas J. Jackson, later requested a restraining order against Palmer and her mother alleging his family was being “harassed and stalked.” The request was denied, according to E! News.
Palmer said in the TV One interview, “This was the first time that something really salacious had ever come up in my career pertaining to my personal life.”
She also admitted that she never expected to become a single mom.
“My parents have been married for 30-plus years. So did I see that for myself? Absolutely,” she said.
The actress, podcaster and game show host has since moved on from the negative headlines. She has a successful podcast titled “Baby, This is Keke Palmer” and currently stars on Peacock comedy series, The ‘Burbs.
The series debuted last month and became the #1 show on Peacock of all time in the first nine days of viewing on the platform, NBCUniversal said in a recent press release.
According to TV One, Palmer also discussed starting out as a child performer in Chicago, growing up in the spotlight in Hollywood, and reclaiming her voice after public scrutiny.
Uncensored: Keke Palmer airs Thursday, March 5 at 8PM/7C on TV One.
