Karamo Brown, an author, activist and reality TV personality best known for starring on Netflix’s Queer Eye, is getting his own daytime talk show.
The daily, one-hour series titled Karamo, will be nationally syndicated across the U.S. this fall, NBCUniversal Syndication Studios announced this week.
Brown has guest hosted Maury a number of times, and says he’s excited to now bring his unique and personal flare to daytime TV.
“Growing up, hosting a daytime talk show seemed unrealistic and unattainable, but it was my dream,” he said in a statement Wednesday.

Brown added that he wants to use the new platform to show others that their dreams can be a reality.
“My biggest goal is to help and connect with people from all walks of life,” he said. “As a Black, gay man of first-generation immigrants, opportunities for my goals seemed impossible so I want to thank everyone involved for believing in me… we are all taking this journey together, so let’s start talking and growing.”
NBCUniversal Syndication Studios and Stamford Media Center Productions will produce the series. This is the same team behind other daytime talk shows, including The Jerry Springer Show and Maury.
“Karamo is a true fan of the genre,” said Tracie Wilson, executive vice president of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios. “[Brown] will bring that passion, along with his unique skill set and life experiences, to guide his guests through life’s dramatic crossroads and build a lasting connection with the daytime audience.”

His new show, Karamo, will premiere nationwide this fall. The series is currently cleared to air in 90 percent of the country, on stations belonging to Nexstar, Weigel, Sinclair, Tegna, Sunbeam, Hearst, Scripps, Capital, Bahakel, Block, CW Plus, Mission Broadcasting and more.
