Kanye West has declared “war” on ex-wife Kim Kardashian over his new song that appears to feature the couple’s daughter North West, 11, alongside disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, and his son King Combs.

Kanye, who now goes by Ye, released the track titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine” on X (formerly Twitter), in a since-deleted post on Saturday, March 15, over Kardashian’s objections.

The UK’s Independent reported the post included the caption: “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine new song by Puff Daddy feat. his son King Combs, My daughter North West and new Yeezy artist from Chicago Jasmine Williams.”

A version of the song, re-posted on YouTube, includes a recorded call with someone who sounds like Diddy thanking Ye for “taking care of my kids,” noting that no one else “has called”while he sits in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

The song features King Combs rapping about “willpower” and “fake hate” against Diddy.

Later, a young girl raps about being “surrounded by fake friends.”

In addition to uploading the song to X, Ye defiantly shared a text message exchange he allegedly had with Kardashian, who said she was against North being on a song with Diddy.

In the exchange, reposted by The Shade Room on Instagram, Ye revealed his ex owns the rights to North’s name and likeness.

One text, purportedly from Kardashian, mentioned “infringement.”

West responded, “I’m never speaking with you again.”

“I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18, it goes to her. So stop,” Kardashian allegedly replied. “I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her. One person has to trademark! We agreed when [the children] were born, I would get all of our kids names and trademarks, so no one else would take them.”

West shot back, “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout.”

A source told the Daily Mail that Kardashian has taken legal action to prevent the song’s release and “to get the song down off of X.”

West criticized his ex-wife several more times on X Saturday night in follow-up posts, and claimed his parental “rights have been taken away by the Kardashian mob, Hulu and Disney” — which is behind the family’s reality show, The Kardashians.

We’ve opted not to embed audio of the song because it features a minor. Below is a screengrab of West’s text exchange via The Shade Room.
