Mo’Nique went off on fellow comedian D.L. Hughley and he fired right back.

The war of words between the two comics started Saturday over who was the true headliner when they shared the same stage at Detroit’s Fox Theatre. Mo’Nique told fans in a profanity-filled monologue that she was supposed to headline the show, that is until Hughley joined the lineup.

“Y’all don’t understand the fight a b–ch had to go through to stand in front of y’all tonight,” Mo’Nique told the audience in a video posted on YouTube. “Y’all don’t understand I was getting ready to walk the f–k up out of here, but I said, ‘I can’t let the people down’.”

The Oscar-winning Precious actress then alleged that Hughley refused to perform at the event if she was the headliner.

“The motherf–ing contract says that a b–ch is the headliner. The headliner. That’s what the motherf–ing contract says,” she told fans. “’Mo’Nique is to be the last (expletive) person on the (expletive) stage. She is the headliner.”

She then called Hughley a “b–ch,” the N-word and a “coon” in front of the crowd.

It didn’t take long for Hughley to go nuclear on Mo’Nique. He shared a picture of the actress in Precious on Instagram Sunday, along with a fiery caption.

“All you have to do is check the order of names on the ticket stub from last night and you’ll see who’s confused. Against my better judgment, over the objections of my team and 4 other occasions where I said NO, I decided to take a chance and work with Monique,” he wrote.

Hughley, one of the stars of Spike Lee’s Original Kings of Comedy (2000), then said Mo’Nique is a lot like the heinous woman she played in Precious. He listed the names of other celebrities she’s beefed with in the past, including Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels, Steve Harvey, Charlamagne tha God and Netflix.

“Oprah was the problem, Tyler Perry was the problem, Charlamagne was the problem, Steve Harvey was the problem, Lee Daniels was the problem, Netflix was the problem… Now it’s MY turn. At some point it can’t be everyone else, IT’S YOU!! Lesson learned. I didn’t have anything personal against Monique… People paid a lot of money to laugh, not hear about your contract. Apparently, the role you played in PRECIOUS turned out to be an autobiography. I wonder who’s next… – Darryl Lynn Hughley.”
