Halle Berry Is Ready to ‘Break Every Rule’ in ‘Crime 101’ Trailer

Money, fast cars, and greed collide in the trailer for the upcoming heist film Crime 101.

Amazon MGM Studios released the teaser on Thursday, Oct. 23, showing Chris Hemsworth as an elusive thief in Los Angeles planning his final score.

He needs help and sets his sights on a disillusioned insurance broker played by Halle Berry. She knows where the high value items are kept, and agrees to get in on a piece of the action.

“There’s a courier carrying watches and gems, and the new buyer is paying cash,” Berry’s insurance broker shares.

She adds with confidence, “You’re looking at $11 million in one room, three of which I’ll be taking.”

Hemsworth’s thief has a history of pulling off heists along L.A.’s iconic 101 Freeway. But a relentless detective, played by Mark Ruffalo, is closing in.

With time running out,  Berry admits, “We’re about to break every rule you’ve ever lived by.”

“As the multimillion-dollar heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are forced to confront the cost of their choices – and the realization that there’s no turning back,” the official description reads.

The cast also includes Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte.

Written and directed by Bart Layton (American Animals, The Imposter), the film is based on Don Winslow’s acclaimed novella, and co-written by Peter Straughan.

Producers include Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Derrin Schlesinger, Dimitri Doganis, Bart Layton.

The movie comes courtesy of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Raw, Working Title Films, The Story Factory and Wild Slate.

Amazon MGM Studios is releasing the film in the U.S., while Sony Pictures Releasing International has distribution rights abroad.

Crime 101 arrives in theaters globally on Feb. 13.
