With Bosch: Legacy ending, series lead Titus Welliver could be making the leap from L.A. crime to New York espionage in a potential spinoff of The Equalizer.

Welliver and Juani Feliz will be introduced on the April 20 installment of the Queen Latifah-led series.

CBS unveiled preview images and plot details for the episode in a press release on Thursday, April 3.

In the episode titled “Sins of the Father,” Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah) is contacted by Samantha Reed (Feliz) whose father, ex-CIA agent Elijah Reed (Welliver), has gone missing.

“While Samantha joins forces with the Equalizer team to track down the agency legend, she learns more about her family’s past in the Dominican Republic,” per CBS.

The cast of The Equalizer also includes Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira, Laya DeLeon Hayes, and Lorraine Toussaint.

The episode is written by Joseph C. Wilson and directed by Geoff Shotz.

The Equalizer is a re-imagining of the TV show by the same name that ran on CBS from 1985 to 1989, and inspired a blockbuster film franchise starring Denzel Washington.

The drama premiered on Feb. 7, 2021, and is currently in its fifth season. But it has yet to be renewed for season 6.

The potential spinoff was first announced in 2024. Variety reported Welliver was cast as “a former top CIA operative with a dark secret who is connected to McCall (Queen Latifah) by an old mentor.”

Meanwhile, Feliz’s character was said to be “trained by her father to be a weapons expert, skilled martial artist and true chameleon all while hiding a mysterious past.”

Welliver currently stars as Harry Bosch on Bosch: Legacy, which is in its third and final season on Prime Video. The veteran actor previously played the character on Bosch, which ran for seven seasons (2014–2021) on the platform.

Feliz is best known for playing Isabela on the Prime Video dramedy Harlem. She also appeared on two episodes of The Rookie: Feds.
