Nearly three decades after releasing their hit single, “The Boy Is Mine,” Brandy and Monica are reuniting to co-headline their first-ever joint tour.
The Grammy winners announced the news Tuesday, June 24 on CBS Mornings, saying they “can’t wait” to kick off the 24-city arena tour in October.
Monica also revealed they “didn’t really know each other” when they recorded the song.
The superstar singers will be joined on the road by Grammy winners Kelly Rowland and Muni Long, plus newly crowned American Idol season 23 winner Jamal Roberts.

The tour is produced by the Black Promoters Collective.
“Bringing Brandy and Monica together for this tour is more than just a moment — it’s a cultural homecoming,” Shelby Joyner, president of Black Promoters Collective, said in a statement Tuesday to Urban Hollywood 411.
Rodney Jerkins, Brandy, Japhe Tejeda, Fred Jerkins III, and LaShawn Daniels wrote “The Boy Is Mine.”
The song about two divas competing for the same guy was released in 1998. It spent a record 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, won a Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, and made the two singers cultural icons.
“Brandy and I have been on our own unique journeys, and coming back together in this way is a reminder of the power of respect, strength, and real music. We’re giving the people what they’ve been asking for, and doing it with grace, love, and purpose. God’s timing perfectly aligned us,” Monica said in a statement.
“This really is a full-circle moment. Monica and I coming together again isn’t just about the music — it’s about honoring where we came from and how far we’ve both come. ‘The Boy Is Mine’ was a defining chapter in R&B, and to share the stage all these years later is bigger than a reunion — it’s a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one,” Brandy added.
Last year, the singers made a surprise cameo in Ariana Grande’s “The Boy Is Mine” music video. Then, they sang on the remix and appeared in the viral video.
The two will be on stage together when their tour kicks off Oct. 16 in Cincinnati, with stops in Milwaukee, Chicago, Memphis, Atlanta, Greensboro, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Newark, Detroit, Washington and other cities, before concluding in Houston on Dec. 07.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 27, at 10:00 AM local time via Ticketmaster.com. Presales begin Thursday, June 26 at 10:00 AM local time via the code BPC.
