The drama will be intense when BMF returns in June for a fourth season.

Starz released the official trailer for the upcoming season on Thursday, May 1. The new season brings new faces and the surprising return of fan favorites from the past.

Meech (Demetrius Flenory Jr.) announces Black Mafia Family (BMF) is starting its own music label. But Meech and his brother Terry (Da’Vinchi) aren’t breaking into the music business to top the charts. Instead, the drug traffickers plan to use music to move weight.

“We’re about to take BMF to another level,” Meech says in the trailer.

As the brothers plot their next moves, trouble is right around the corner and their list of enemies is growing. Top of the list is arch nemesis Lamar! Actor Eric Kofi-Abrefa (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Supacell) returns as the violent and erratic Lamar.

The last audiences saw of the character was at the end of season 2, when he was strung out on crack, slumped over, and left to die.

Lamar is now cleaned up, armed to the teeth, and gunning for Meech and Terry — so watch out.

Also returning in the new season are Donnell Rawlings as Lamar’s cousin “Alvin,” and Myles Truitt as “B-Mickie.” This season, B-Mickie has a family and he’s hiding secrets.

Emmy Award-winning actor Michael Chiklis (The Shield) joins the series as DEA “Agent Taylor,” who joins forces with Detective Bryant (Steve Harris)  is hot on the trail of the BMF crew.

The returning cast includes Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, La La Anthony, and Steve Harris.

The crime drama is inspired by the true story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory. The two siblings rose from the decaying streets of Detroit in the late 1980s to create the Black Mafia Family drug empire.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson executive produces the series through his G-Unit film and television alongside creator, executive producer and Detroit native Randy Huggins, with showrunner and executive producer Heather Zuhlke.

The drama is produced by G-Unit Film and Television in association with Lionsgate Television for Starz.

BMF season 4 premieres Friday, June 6, with all-new episodes available to stream Fridays on the Starz app and all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms. On TV, the series airs Fridays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.
