Two years after Tamar Braxton left The Real, her former co-hosts are finally sharing their side of what unfolded.

Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Adrienne Bailon and Jeannie Mai stopped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club Friday, and broke their silence on Braxton’s exit.

“That’s the big elephant in the room. Everybody’s been waiting for us to talk about it,” Love said in the interview.

“In season one and season two, we were all different,” she explained. “We didn’t really know each other that much, it was a new show, and as far as I know, I was sitting at the table with a girl named Tamar Braxton. I had just met these ladies and I had just met her. I was excited.”

She added that something happened with Braxton after season two and everything changed, although she did not know the exact cause of the trouble.

“Everybody has a different story with Tamar. My story is this — she was getting to the point where I was at her house one day. This is after Dancing With the Stars and all this other kind of stuff. She looked at me and she said, ‘Hey, I want to get a new manager,'” Love said.

She said Tamar asked her for advice on what do to about her then-husband and manager, Vince Herbert, and requested the contact information for Rushion McDonald (Steve Harvey’s former manager). Love said she passed the number along.

“When she was sick, we all went to the hospital to see her. Even when her sisters wasn’t [sic] around, we were around for her,” Love continued, adding that she had nothing to do with Braxton’s firing.

“I got a call on Saturday. They said that Tamar was being let go. I asked a question, we all got on a text, like what was going on.”

Love said the hosts tried to reach out to Braxton, but she ceased all communication.

Braxton posted on Instagram at the time that she was backstabbed and then unfollowed Love, which the host said caused fans to think she had something to do with the Love and War singer’s departure.

“So people assumed I was the one,” said Love. “I know Tamar, she’s a good person, she probably saw all the heat that I was getting, then she unfollowed Jeannie, then after a couple days she unfollowed these two.”

Love added that the singer’s sister, Towanda Braxton, gave her a heads up about an upcoming episode of Braxton Family Values during a chance encounter at an airport.

“I get on a plane to go to Atlanta [and] who’s in front of me, in first class? Her sister Towanda,” Love said. “She told me they did an emergency episode of Braxton Family Values, and, ‘You need to see the episode.'”

After Towanda allegedly warned her, Love said she looked into the matter and found out Vince reportedly claimed on camera that Tamar was fired from The Real because the other co-hosts were jealous.

“I called my attorney and I said, ‘You gotta call WEtv and let them know if they’re naming us, we’re gonna have to have legal action,” Love continued. “We had nothing to do with it. That’s defamation of character.”

WEtv allegedly edited out Vince’s comments from the rough cut and they never aired.

“You know why I say he does that?” asked Love. “Because I gave her the number of Rushion McDonald.”
