Nick Cannon is ready to invite cameras into his family life and suggests no subject will be off limits.
The Masked Singer host is set to star in a new Netflix docuseries and recently told Us Weekly there will be “no secrets.”
Cannon, 45, said he decided to do a reality-type show because people have been curious about his unconventional family dynamic for years, and he’d rather tell his own story than let the media write the narrative.
“It’s going to be a lot,” he admitted. Still, the multi-hyphenate is looking forward to seeing how fans react.
“I want to know what they have to say because there are no secrets and nothing to hide,” he shared. As for the attention the show may bring his way, the Wild ‘n Out creator and host said he is “built for this.”
He admitted the six women he fathered children with were hesitant to allow cameras to follow them around.
“They were like, ‘Why are we letting cameras into our homes?’” he revealed in the interview published on Sept. 26.
Cannon said the women worried about putting their private lives and their children’s lives on national television. Still, his current and former partners agreed to take part in the series.
“I think that everybody’s very comfortable with just keeping their peace. But everybody said that they would do it for me, so I’m appreciative of that,” Cannon said.
Us Weekly did not give specifics on whether his ex-wife, superstar singer Mariah Carey, will appear on the show. Cannon shares twins Moroccan and Monroe, 15, with Carey.
He is father to sons Golden, 9, and Rise, 4, and daughter Powerful, 5, with Brittany Bell. He welcomed twin sons Zion and Zillion, 5, and daughter Beautiful, 3, with Abby De La Rosa.
He has a son named Legendary, 4, with Bre Tiesi of Selling Sunset fame.He is dad to daughter Onyx, 4, with LaNisha Cole.
He welcomed two children with Alyssa Scott — daughter Halo, 3, and son Zen, who died of brain cancer at 5 months old in December 2021.
Netflix announced the untitled docuseries in May, as previously reported. The show will follow Cannon as he juggles parenting, work and relationships across his blended family.
The series is produced by Velvet Hammer Media and Pantheon Media Group. It’s expected to premiere this winter, although Netflix has not yet announced a release date.
