Former Disney star Raquel Lee Bolleau reportedly reached a confidential settlement with her The Poof Point co-star Mark Curry years before filing a negligence lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company.
The private agreement was finalized in 2015, according to an article published by The Hollywood Reporter on Aug. 25.
The terms of the settlement and the reasons behind the dispute have not been made public. It’s unclear if the agreement is connected to the allegations in Bolleau’s complaint against Disney.
The actress sued the studio on Friday, Aug. 21, in Los Angeles County Superior Court. She alleged Disney failed to protect her from sexual abuse while she was filming the 2001 Disney Channel movie The Poof Point at age 14.
The actress, who was then known professionally as Raquel Lee, claimed an unidentified middle-aged male employee raped and sexually assaulted her during production.

The complaint alleged Disney repeatedly put Bolleau in close contact with the employee and encouraged her to “bond” with him.
The lawsuit alleged the man supplied Bolleau with alcohol and pressured her to drink. She also claimed the abuse was visible to other adults working on the production, but no one tried to help her.
“Even though Mr. Doe’s sexual harassment was in plain view of the cast and crew and could be heard by the sound technicians managing the cast’s microphones, no one at Disney intervened,” the complaint said.
Curry played Bolleau’s father on The Poof Point. Dawnn Lewis and Tahj Mowry also starred in the movie. Curry is best known for starring in the popular ABC sitcom Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper.
Famed attorney Gloria Allred represented Bolleau in the case with Curry. The actress is represented in her current lawsuit against Disney by attorneys Douglas Wigdor and Jane Kim.
Curry, now 65, has not publicly commented on the reported settlement. Representatives for Bolleau, Curry and Disney also did not immediately respond to requests for comment from multiple outlets about the settlement.
Bolleau, now 39, said in the new lawsuit her mental health and acting career suffered because of the alleged abuse.
