Desiigner is in trouble with the law, again.
The “Panda” rapper was arrested in Horry County, South Carolina on July 15, after he allegedly chased his girlfriend with a hammer, followed her to a neighbor’s house, and broke into the property.
Police responded to a neighborhood in Conway, South Carolina after receiving multiple 911 calls about a man acting erratically, according to The Post and Courier Myrtle Beach.
Responding officers reportedly found the Grammy-nominated rapper walking outside with blood on one of his hands and took him into custody.
Police told local media outlets the incident started with an argument between the rapper and his girlfriend.
The woman told officers the rapper, born Sidney Royel Selby III, grabbed two of her phones and smashed them with a hammer, preventing her from calling 911.
As she tried to flee with their child, Selby allegedly chased her with the hammer, caught up to her and threw her to the ground. The woman managed to escape to a neighbor’s home and locked herself inside.
Selby, 29, followed her to the residence. He allegedly grabbed a chair from the front porch, threw it at a window and forced his way inside. Officers took him into custody Wednesday afternoon.
According to jail records, he faces four counts — three charges of malicious injury to personal property valued at up to $10,000 and one count of second-degree domestic violence. He is being held without bail and remains in custody.
The New York native has had multiple brushes with law enforcement.
In April 2023, he was charged with indecent exposure after allegedly being caught pleasuring himself on a Delta Air Lines flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis.
According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota, the rapper was seated in the first-class cabin and allegedly “exposed his genitals multiple times.” A flight attendant gave him a card saying his behavior “appears to be in violation of federal law.” He was detained by an FBI agent when the plane landed.
Selby posted an apology on social media, pleaded guilty to one count of indecent conduct, and was sentenced to two years of probation, community service, and given a $5,000 fine.
In March 2026, he was arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence, again in Horry County. He was released on $1,500 bond. The case is still pending.
