Authorities continue to search for answers more than a week after Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, went missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona.

A distraught Savannah shared a third video message on Instagram over the weekend, directly addressing the kidnapper and pleading for her mother’s return.

“We received your message and we understand,” Guthrie said in the video, with her brother, Camron Guthrie, and sister, Annie Guthrie, by her side.

“We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace,” she said.

Before ending the video, Savannah said the family is willing to pay to a ransom to secure Nancy’s freedom. “This is very valuable to us, and we will pay,” she said while holding her siblings’ hands.

The video comes as reports surface of another alleged ransom note demanding $6 million in Bitcoin by 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9. Tucson news station KGUN reported the note was sent to the TV station and included a threat against Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother if the deadline is not met. The station said on its website the note was forwarded to law enforcement.

Authorities have not confirmed the authenticity of the note. It is the second reported ransom demand connected to the case.

Law enforcement has warned that imposters have attempted to profit from the situation by sending fake ransom demands. Last week, Derrick Callella, a former Los Angeles County government employee, was arrested for allegedly sending a phony ransom demand, according to authorities.

Investigators have described the case as a possible kidnapping or abduction. Despite the reported notes, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday that no suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles have been identified.

On Sunday Feb. 8, investigators were seen searching a septic tank behind Nancy’s Tucson home, according to TMZ.

As previously reported, Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Sunday, Feb. 1, after a friend noticed she did not attend church. She was last seen at her home around 9:30 p.m. Saturday after returning from visiting relatives.

Investigators have since tested what appears to be blood found outside the home. Officials also said Guthrie’s pacemaker stopped communicating with a monitoring app early Sunday morning,  the day she was reported missing. Family members say the octogenarian has health problems and needs life-saving medication.

Last week, the FBI has announced a $50,000 reward for credible information leading to a rescue or an arrest.
