Nicki Minaj may be President Trump’s “No. 1 fan,” but it seems MAGA insider Laura Ingraham is no fan of Minaj.
The Fox News host — and Trump enthusiast — made that clear on the Wednesday, Jan. 28 episode of The Ingraham Angle.
During a discussion with Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) about the rapper’s appearance earlier in the day at an event touting the Trump administration’s new $1,000 savings accounts for children, Ingraham mixed up the “Super Bass” rapper with her nemesis, “WAP” performer Cardi B.
As Ingraham dissected Minaj’s lovefest with Trump — where the rapper told GOP insiders she’s the president’s “No. 1 fan” — the Fox News host got a little confused.
“Now, conservatives, including myself, were beyond disgusted by some of her lyrics and her songs over the years,” Ingraham said about Minaj. “‘WAP,’ I won’t say what that stands for…”
A producer quickly got in her earpiece and said she was mistaken. “That’s Cardi B? Oh, that’s how bad I am. Thank you Sam,” Ingraham said.
For those unfamiliar, Cardi B’s single “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion is an acronym for “Wet A– P–y.” The song was released in August 2020 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 after record first-week streams, according to Billboard magazine.
Social media users urged Ingraham to do more research after a staffer from progressive platform The Meidas Touch posted a clip of her comments on X.

“Wait…..wrong rapper Ingraham,” one person commented on the post.
“They can’t even name a single Nicki Minaj song,” someone else wrote.
“Just out here admitting 1. can’t tell black women apart and 2. as long as you kiss trumps bruised hand you’re ok with them now. These people are a joke,” another person replied.
“Confusing Nicki and Cardi is crazy. But to them we all lookalike,” someone else wrote.
“On the upside — She’s HANDING @nbcsnl a cold opener — @iamcardib is hosting this weekend,” another person commented, noting that Cardi B is scheduled to perform on this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live.
A note to Ingraham: Nicki’s songs include “Moment 4 Life,” “Starships,” “Chun-Li,” “Barbie World,” “Anaconda,” and “Super Freaky Girl,” which includes the very racy lyrics: “I can lick it/I can ride it while you slippin’ and slidin’/I can do all them little tricks and keep the d–k up inside it.”
