“Knock, knock, Miami P.D.,” Ben Affleck says in the intense first trailer for Netflix crime thriller, The Rip.
Affleck and Matt Damon lead the cast of the intense, action-packed drama about a group of Miami cops who get the tip of a lifetime about a stash house with a bundle of cash inside.
“I don’t have any drugs,” the woman who answers the door says in the teaser video, which Netflix released Wednesday, Sept. 10.
“The dog is not trained to detect drugs. The dog is trained to detect money,” the cops tell her.

They tear the dilapidated house apart and discover $20 million cash inside.
Fellow officers played by Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, and Catalina Sandino Moreno help sift through buckets of money uncovered in the home.
“It would be so much easier if we just stole this money,” Damon’s character says.
Trust between the cops quickly begins to evaporate. They get a phone call telling them to back off, setting off a chain of violence.
“As outside forces learn about the size of the seizure, everything is called into question — including who they can rely on,” according to the official description.
The cast also includes Sasha Calle, Scott Adkins, and Kyle Chandler.
Oscar winners Ben Affleck and Matt Damon produced the film alongside Dani Bernfeld, Luciana Damon.
Joe Carnahan wrote the screenplay and directed the drama.
Carnahan told Netflix’s Tudum blog he hopes the film reminds audiences “there are good people in the world. They want to do good, they want to help people, they want to be kind, they want to be compassionate, they want to be empathetic… I think it’s a good time for that message.”
The Rip begins streaming globally on Netflix Jan. 16, 2026.
