Taraji P. Henson will share the screen with rapper Joey Bada$$ in the upcoming Netflix film ‘Tis So Sweet.
The streaming service announced details on the film this week, and said it’s the second feature in Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin’s faith-based partnership with the streamer, after Ruth & Boaz premiered on Sept. 26.
Based on a true story, ‘Tis So Sweet centers on Lenore Lindsey. The Chicago bakery owner is “stunned by a miraculous discovery that challenges her to reclaim lost time, heal old wounds, and find purpose in the unexpected,” according to the official description.

Lenore made headlines in 2024, when she discovered Vamarr Hunter, a regular customer at her Give Me Some Sugah bakery was her long-lost biological son.
Lindsey put her baby boy up for adoption in 1974. ABC7 Chicago reported she was 17 years old when she gave birth to the baby. At age 35, Hunter learned he was adopted and began looking for his birth mother.
Genetic testing confirmed Hunter and Lindsey were related.
“It’s been a great experience,” Hunter told the TV station. “It further strengthens my faith.”
Lindsey said she believed God reunited her with the son who was often in her thoughts.
The Netflix movie about the pair is directed by Tasha Smith from a script written by Randy Brown (Miracles From Heaven). DeVon Franklin and Tyler Perry are producers.
A release date for the film will be announced later.
