Tamar Braxton has turned to a medical professional to back up her claims that she lost some of her teeth during a mystery medical emergency.

The “Love and War” singer posted a video to Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 28 from Miami-based cosmetic dentist, Dr. Amira Ogunleye.

In the video, Ogunleye said she treated Braxton after her dental crisis, and recounted what she was told by the singer her team.

“She woke up in a pool full of blood and saw many fractured teeth on her floor,” Ogunleye said she was told.

“She flew to me immediately within 24 hours,” the doctor added.

After evaluating Braxton’s injuries, the doctor confirmed the music artist and reality star had multiple fractured teeth, and signs of a fractured septum.

The doctor said she performed surgery and was able to “stabilize” Braxton’s new dental work, but The Braxtons TV star still needs several more appointments and additional care.

So what caused Braxton’s injuries?  “Sleepwalking,” the doctor said.

“Oftentimes in cases of sleepwalking, the person has no memory or recollection of what they’ve done. They can walk, move, even injure themselves… and not remember,” she stated.

Braxton, 48, first shared details about the medical emergency in an emotional post on her Instagram Stories, as captured by The Neighborhood Talk Instagram account on Aug. 19.

“I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can’t even really talk anymore,” Braxton began. “I’m so weak. I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury.”

The singer and reality star continued: “I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins. Pray for me for real.”

At the end of the post, Braxton said she had no clue happened.

As we previously reported, the post had hundreds of comments and many of them were skeptical, given her history of pranking her fans.

A short time later a video surfaced of Braxton out on the town with friends, including YouTuber Funky Dineva, hours before she said she was injured.

Funky Dineva released a video stated on his YouTube account saying he was unaware that Braxton had been injured and had nothing to do with her injuries.

“I don’t know what happened to the lady,” he said. “We went out Saturday Night. We Went to Ruth’s Chris, we ate, had a great time.”

He said they went to another location after that and then he went home.
