The film has been greenlit by Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group Motion Pictures.
The movie will feature a new song recorded by the singer-songwriter titled “Forever is a Thing.”
“Jackson’s seduction is still a living force, operating from beyond the grave,” the filmmaker says.
The authorized film has the blessing of the late singer’s estate.
The biopic opened in third place at the box office after receiving poor reviews from critics.

Filming is currently underway on the original movie.
